PROCEDURE
I.
Greeting. Introduction
T. Good morning, dear friends. Our today’s lesson
devoted to the previous topic – the United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Northern Ireland, but we are also going to learn the new tense form – Present
Perfect Passive.

T. At our previous
lesson you have learnt new words. I’d like you to define their meaning.

1.The
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is situated on the British
Isles. They lie to the north-west of Europe. The British Isles are separated
from the continent by the narrow strait of water which is called the English
Channel.
2.There are
a lot of rivers in GB, but they are not very long. The Severn is the longest
river, while the Thames is the deepest and the most important one.
3.Thanks to
the Gulf Stream the climate of Great Britain is mild. The weather is often
foggy and rainy. Summer is not very hot and winter is not very cold.
4.The
surface of the British Isles varies very much. The north of Scotland is
mountainous and is called the Highlands, while the south, which has beautiful
valleys and plains, is called the Lowlands.
5.The
United Kingdom consists of four parts: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern
Ireland.
6.The
capital of England is London.

Cardiff.
8.The main
city of Northern Ireland is Belfast.

Passive is formed with the help of ‘am’, ‘is’, ‘are’ +the third form of the

P. It is used when the doer of
the action is not known or not important.
T. Right you are. The grammar point of our today’s
lesson is Present Perfect Passive.The Present Perfect Passive is
useful when describing something that was done in the past without a lot of
information about who did it, when, how, why, etc. And now look and listen to
the teacher who explains how to form Present Perfect Passive (the clip from YouTube is demonstrated to the
students).
